Straight and well-spaced teeth is something many people desire to see when they smile, but many people skip out on this beautiful feature because they just don’t want to wear braces.

The old-fashioned metal wire and bracket style isn’t for everyone. They take a while to work, can be expensive, are noticeable to everyone, and can be uncomfortable for the wearer. That’s where Invisalign® clear braces come in and cancels out those preconceived notions as to what braces are all about...and they’re more affordable.

What Is Invisalign®?

Invisalign® clear braces are tray aligners that are removable and comfortable to wear. Being that they are clear, they are barely noticeable, and people who may have otherwise been self-conscious about getting braces are embracing this product.

These trays are designed to shift the teeth into the desired position over time as new trays replace the last set as the teeth move along towards perfection. The process is quicker than metal braces, so patients will see results sooner. They can be removed while eating and brushing/flossing, so patients can eat whatever they want and know their teeth will be free of debris before replacing the trays.

What Is The Process Like?

Depending upon the individual, the length of wear and how many tray replacements required will vary. We will take intraoral photos of your mouth during your first visit and they will be sent to the Invisalign® lab. Remarkably, they can give an accurate estimate of how your teeth will look once the process is complete, then they’ll create the personalized trays series. When they are back in, you’ll come to the office for instructions and get the ball rolling. About every two weeks, you’ll move on to your next set of trays until the process is finished, resulting in the smile you were promised. It takes anywhere from five months to a year on average for patients to see the final picture. It is advised to wear your Invisalign clear braces for about 22 hours every day. Only remove while eating and brushing/flossing

What Makes Invisalign® So Comfortable To Wear?

These clear braces are made of a flexible and smooth plastic material, so they bend and shape to suit your mouth. They won’t irritate the inside of your mouth like metal braces might. You have no food restrictions, brushing is a breeze, and your speech won’t be compromised.
